THINGS TO DO
A beautiful beach is located a few hundred meters from the cottages. In one direction the beach stretches for approximately 2km with stunning sand dunes, great fun for sand-boarding. In the other direction is a 1km stretch of rocks which is a popular spot for fishermen to cast their lines from. The lagoon is located about 50m from the cottages. This can be used for swimming, boating, canoeing and fishing. Bring your walking shoes as there are plenty of short hikes to be done around the resort with wonderful views. If you love bird-watching then you have come to the right place so make sure you pack your binoculars.

East London Zoo
Apart from the animals, the zoo and gardens contains a treasure trove of flora and fauna, some of which are only found in the Eastern Cape.
East London Lion Park
The Lion Park has an amazing number of animals to view. The rare White Lions, Tigers, Cheetah, Giraffe, Crocodile, White Camel, Zebra, a large variety of Bird life. You may even be lucky to pet Lion cubs.
East London Aquarium
The aquarium is the oldest in South Africa with more than 400 species of fish, penguins and seals.
East London Museum
The East London Museum has the world's only dodo egg, a large natural science collection, collections ranging from the prehistoric times of South Africa to the early history of the Xhosa people.
Avalon Market at Kidds Beach
Held on the first Sunday of every month, beautiful arts and crafts can be purchased. Enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea in the garden and if you don't feel like cooking ready made meals can be bought from Ginger and Co.
